Pizza is the best; exciting blend of textures, flavours and a balanced roasted aroma. The Grattan St venue is certainly an upgrade that gives Kaprica a somewhat homey vibe.
Personally I'd skip their pastas and leave more room in your tummy for a tiramisu dessert. Finish off the night with gelato scoops at Lygon.
The service team members are all so model-like poised & pretty.
Found this place through a reel on Tiktok actually, decided to bring my younger sister here for her birthday dinner and it was honestly one of our favourite dinners out.
From entrees to our main course, the food was so good. Flavourful, good portions sizes and very filling.
And I’m not usually a dessert person at all cause a lot of places don’t do it well but man, I was genuinely surprised.
Ordered the nemesis cake and tiramisu and both were 10/10.
Layout of the place is cozy and beautiful, I was a little worried at first upon arrival because the outside does not match inside lol BUT that was short lasted once I stepped inside.
All in all, I would highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back even though it’s actually about a 40minute drive from where I stay. Well worth it!!
Great little spot in Carlton! Atmosphere was lovely for a date night. Started with the garlic pizza which is a great way to try their incredible pizzas (crust was 10/10) without having it be a main.
Gnocchi was a bit over cooked but the sauce and cheese made the dish flavourful - great quality sauce.
Lamb Ragu was delicious and the pasta was just perfect. The lamb flavour was overpowering but for those who love a lamb ragu this would be perfect.
The place was certainly busy which led to staff being a bit distracted, everyone was lovely and attentive but just became hard to get peoples attention when we were ready to leave.
Great and cozy restaurant, with reliably good pizza and pasta.
Love the warm lighting, lovely and raucous vibes of the crowd, it’s a place where you can catch up with friends and tell stories about being worried about laughing too hard.
It was my second visit here and the food was as good as last time. Would recommend the gnocchi and meatball pasta.
The menu is quite limited (only around 5 pasta dishes on offer) with a longer list of pizzas available.
Service was friendly. But we waited over 45 minutes for the food to come. And at my last visit that happened as well! Without the long wait this would be four stars.
Kaprica offers decent Italian cuisine, although some dishes lack authentic flavors. The service is adequate, albeit occasionally slow during busy periods. The ambiance is cozy, yet the seating arrangement can feel cramped, affecting comfort. Overall, Kaprica is a satisfactory choice for a casual Italian dining experience in Melbourne.
Service and atmosphere was good. Unfortunately the pizzas were quite disappointing and drenched in additional oil after coming out of the oven. The prawn pasta was really good! The people I went with mentioned that Kaprica quality was much better when at the Brunswick location. Pretty disappointing, not the worst but definitely not the best!
Amazing Italian food! This spot gets very busy though so make sure you book ahead. Service was also a little slow due to all tables being full but the food was definitely worth the wait. We ate: the garlic pizza (entree), prosciutto pizza, lamb ragu and prawn pasta. All were delicious, will definitely be visiting again soon
I had my birthday here recently and had THE MOST AMAZING TIME!! I could not recommend this more. I had 14 guests there and they all had such a great time. The servers were lovely, the drinks were delicious and the food was to die for. Don’t hesitate to book your dinner or lunch here. Was 10/10
